RBM 12 Points of Culture
Rockhampton Business Machines was established in 1969 and has
been selling and servicing office equipment for 36 years.
Company Directors are involved in the day to day running of the
Sales, Administration and Service Departments with a Managing
Director being with the Company for 30 years.
With a staff of two sales consultants in the field and backed
up by the Director/Manager, we cover the sales training and installation
of CANON and TOSHIBA photocopiers and facsimile machines.
We also supply and service laser printers, cash registers, electronic
scales, calculators, filing cabinets and shredders. We have a
staff of six in this area including administration. |
 |
The Service Division is the largest in Central Queensland. The Service
Manager together with two (2) administration support staff manage the
team of engineers who are cross-trained on all machined marketed by
RBM and are continually doing service training on new and existing machines.
We have two senior engineers who have been trained by Microsoft and
Novel, and this allows our engineers to converse easily with our customers
I.T. staff to obtain solutions much quicker.

Preventative Maintenance is our specialty and we carry
an extensive range of spare parts and consumables. Technician
vehicles are stocked with spare parts and consumables to
ensure service calls can be completed without returning
to the service centre. Rockhampton Business Machines hold
a large inventory of parts and are in turn supported by
our manufacturers who offer overnight delivery should the
need arise. The Service Controllers have full control over
all machines in the field with a fully computerised system
looking after, in excess of 4,000 machines.
RBM guarantee an average response time of two hours for
platinum customers. Our current average response time is
actually less to a machine down situation. RBM strictly
adhere to the manufacturers schedule of maintenance, replacing
all consumable parts as per the manufacturers timetable.
This ensure consistent high reliability, high copy quality
and high customer satisfaction with our copiers consistently
running from one scheduled maintenance to the next without
problems. RBM expanded its service role in April, 2002,
to cover the servicing of Gaming equipment for the Queensland
TAB. |

Due to our healthy growth rate over the years, we purchased
land and built a new 600sq. mtr showroom, office complex, storage
and workshop in Kent Street, where we have conducted business
from for the past ten years.
We believe we are setting a standard for others to follow in
our industry and we will endeavour to supply the best high quality
equipment and offer the best high quality service we can. The
fact that we have machines on all categories of the Queensland
Purchasing Contract 652 for a number of years cements the fact
of being committed to service and quality.
It is now company policy to encourage Sales and Service staff
to undertake training in the I.T. area, over and above the training
supplied by CANON and TOSHIBA Service and I.T. Consultants. The
birth of RBM IT on the 1st July, 2001 has not only supported our
existing Service Department but has been actively marketing computer
hardware, software and IT support. The backbone of RBM's success
has been service support, this will now flow on to RBM IT with
response and service being second to none. |
To ensure you gain the full benefits from your investment we
provide full on site training. We will instruct staff in the normal
operating procedures, as well as simple maintenance such as cleaning
and toner replacement. This is the first step in ongoing "peace
of mind".
Trusting we may be of service to you and we assure you of our
prompt attention at all times.
